Japan has many makers whose work deserves a place in daily life far beyond Japan. KAZEN looks for pieces that are beautiful in a quiet way, made with real skill, and meant to be used every day.
We do not replace a maker’s name with ours. KAZEN’s part is to choose carefully, explain clearly and make the journey from the studio to your home simple.
What KAZEN does

We choose a small number of pieces against clear conditions, across materials and crafts.
Explain
We describe how each piece is made, how to use it and how to look after it, in plain language.
Present
We photograph each piece honestly and keep the maker’s name at the centre.
Deliver
We pack each piece with care and send it with a card naming its maker.
